Clause 4(a) of the ALAA Constitution states:

The affairs of the Association shall be managed by a General Executive. Subject to the control of any General Meeting, the General Executive may take any action on behalf of the Association which, in the opinion of the General Executive, will further the objects of the Association.

ALAA AND CALD

A Commitment to Cooperation

On 29 April 2020, Professor Lesley Hitchens, Chair of the Council of Australian Law Deans, and Professor Nick James, Chair of the Australasian Law Academics Association, signed a Memorandum of Understanding clarifying the relationship between the two associations, and setting out the ways in which CALD and ALAA collaborate, cooperate and support each other.
